Mixed shop similar to those that could be seen in towns and villages until recently offering all kinds of products to their clients. These establishments were hardware, haberdashery, textile and footwear shops, drugstores, stationery shops, food shops, beverage dispensers and dispensers of products as varied as fertilisers, animal feed and rat poison. Coffee roasting and even chocolate making were not uncommon in these shops.
Many of them were also the village canteen, becoming a meeting place for the locals who came to find out about any news, chat or play a game.
From the shop premises, the owner had direct access to the back shop where the goods were stored and some products were made.
