The construction and operation of the Salto de Salime in the middle of the 20th century brought about many transformations in an eminently rural society and introduced many new features. The Salto had a small infirmary, from which most of the objects in the room come, which, although intended for its workers and to tend to the numerous work-related incidents, also provided private services to the local residents.
